The ILM Level 3 Diploma for Managers has been designed to perfectly align to the on-programme leadership and management elements of the Level 3 Team Leader/Supervisor Trailblazer Apprenticeship.
Our Team Leader/Supervisor programme is designed to provide participants with the communication and motivational skills needed to improve operational efficiency. Throughout the programme participants will be supported by experienced management experts, who will give them the knowledge and skills to apply in their business environment.
Over the 12-15 month programme, participants will cover a variety of topics allowing them to support, manage and develop both themselves and their teams. They will also learn to manage projects, plan and monitor workloads and resources, deliver business plans, resolve problems and make decisions. We have worked with many employers to develop an innovative and exciting programme which will benefit both future leaders and businesses.
Designed for Level 3 managers with operational/project responsibilities or responsibility for managing a team to deliver a clearly defined outcome. They provide direction, instructions and guidance to ensure the achievement of set goals. Working in the private, public or third sector and in all sizes of organisation, specific responsibilities will vary, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed will be the same whatever the role.
This is an interactive and practical course which will take approximately 15 months to complete on a part-time basis. It will enable you to use core management techniques to drive better results, develop your ability to lead, motivate and inspire, provide strategic leadership as well as day-to-day management and help you to raise your profile in your organisation. You’ll attend regular study groups at our training centre and will be given assignments to complete in between these sessions along with professional observations in your workplace.
Government funding is available for the course – for those who are employed more than 30 hours a week and have lived in the UK or European Union in the last three years – and to receive this funding you’ll also study for functional skills in English and maths.
An Apprentice is expected to spend 20% of their working hours completing off the job training.
This course costs just £500 for non-levy paying employers, as the Government will fund £4,500 of the full £5,000 course fees for eligible staff. Large employers can fund the entire cost through the Apprenticeship Levy.
