Due to the current national circumstances, Green Labyrinth Study Programme will be moving to 100% online learning for all learners starting on Tuesday 24th March 2020.

We understand this is a concerning time for everybody and below we hope to answer any questions you may have.

Why have you closed?

Green Labyrinth Training is reacting to the Government requirements to accommodate our learners. The safety of our learners and staff is the most important factor in providing our service.

With the advice from the government and W.H.O (World Health Organization) on the COVID-19 pandemic, social distancing gives us the best chance at slowing down the spread of the virus. By closing the building and completely switching to distant learning, we can limit social contact and still continue providing education to our young people.

Will I fall behind on my work?

Green Labyrinth staff have put together Maths, English and Workskills work packs for you to complete during this time. Tutors will contact you via email every Monday, so please make sure we have your correct details.

Your work is due back by Wednesday evening for your tutor to mark and email you back with any feedback. Your parent or guardian will be sent this work as well, and we will contact you if you do not complete it and to make sure you are OK.

It is important to keep learning and progressing so you are prepared for your next step. You will receive an end of term report with a comment on how you have engaged in this distant learning programme so we encourage you to do your best and ask for as much help as you need.

For our GCSE learners, please know that all your hard work so far is not wasted. We will keep updated on the AQA website and government announcements about how qualifications will be awarded. Updates will be posted on the website and links emailed to you.

Contact your tutor if you have any questions or concerns about this.

Please see a timetable below which summarises the distant learning plan:

What if I can’t access my classwork?

If you have any problems in accessing the work you have been sent, please contact your tutor first. You can write your answers down and take a photo to email to your tutor to mark.

What if I am unwell?

It is important to follow government guidelines and stay inside your home. You will still be emailed work to complete from your tutors. Please contact us to let us know you are unwell and contact your tutor if you are unable to complete the work due to illness.

I’m worried about not having any support from Green Labyrinth

If I am entitled, will I still receive my bursary?

Yes, you will receive your bursary which will be calculated on this term’s attendance. This may change if you complete more or less distant learning work. Please be patient when waiting for payment as the day you are paid may change.

If you are entitled to Free School Meals, you will be contacted separately with details on how Green Labyrinth will continue to support you during this time.
