Green Labyrinth are proud to announce that we are official sponsors of the Trek4Mind ascent to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro this March in aid of Mind. This is aid of a great charity and mental health is an area that we offer training in and also support through our other projects. Below is an introduction to the the team and their plans to tackle the 5895 metre mountain!
#Trek4Mind – an introduction from the team
So there’s this group of people I know, twelve of us to be precise. And we’re about to do something Massive!
last year was such a massive success, that it was only ever a matter of time before it happened again. But this time it will not be a solo mission.
Team members include -JOE TOMPKINSON – RICHARD FORTUNE – CRAIG CASEY – STUART MAY – STEVE HENDERSON – STUART EDMONSTONE – SHARLEEN GILANI – DANNY DAY – IAN FORTH – GEMMA PRITCHARD – ALEX HAITOGLOU – CALUM COSTELLO
We are a group from all walks of life with a simple (okay maybe not so simple) goal of reaching the summit of the world’s highest free standing mountain at a whopping 5895 metres. Statistically we won’t all make it to the summit, but we’ve never been a fan of statistics anyway and we have embarked on an intense training schedule to get each of us to peak fitness. That and the fact that this is a team built of some of the most ambitious, bloody minded individuals.
On 1st March 2019, our ascent to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro will begin. Mind are truly, a lifeline to so many. You don’t have to look too far to find somebody who’s fighting a battle that so few would even realise. The world of late, is playing a game of catch up where Mental Health is concerned. There is more understanding than there has ever been but there is still work to be done.
So our request of you…
Please dig deep, perhaps with your loved ones or friends in mind, and help us raise a massive heap of money to support the absolutely crucial work that Mind do on a daily basis to support people like you and I through the toughest of times.
