Managing Effective Meetings- Full (next date TBC for January) @ Green Labyrinth Training

With a recent Management Today survey revealing that most UK managers spend an average of 16 hours in meetings every week (that’s half a full-time job!) there are definitely improvements ready to be made! Managers need to be able to know when to hold a meeting, and when to avoid the temptation to do so! But when they are required, the skill involved in chairing, taking minutes, managing the group dynamics, and chasing people for their actions can all mean the difference between a constructive use of time or black hole practice that many managers feel take over their role and stops them from doing what they’re really there to do.

This practical workshop will provide participants with a range of tips and techniques that will help not only improve the effectiveness of meetings, but also reduce the amount of time spent in them!

Green Labyrinth specialises in providing commercially focused and practical development solutions to help organisations and their staff really thrive in todays challenging environment. These workshops are designed and delivered by experienced specialist practitioners to ensure that they focus on practical skills and understanding that can be directly applied back to the workplace. They are highly interactive and engaging, and encourage participants to actively apply all tools and techniques to current workplace challenges to ensure maximum benefit is gained.

  • Identify what stress at work looks like and what the common contributors / causes are.
  • Explain how people with stress can be supported at work to assist with a healthy recovery.

Delivering Presentations & Briefings with Impact- Full (next date TBC for January) @ Green Labyrinth Training

Team leaders and middle managers are often the communication lynchpin in organisations, helping to cascade direction, distribute instructions, pass on feedback, deliver training and deliver difficult messages to groups and individuals. However, if done ineffectively, this can lead to confusion, operational inefficiencies, or damage the managers reputation and relationship with the people they manage. So the ability to give effective briefings and presentations can help managers ensure that everyone hears the message as it was intended, as well as improve their credibility as a manager.

This highly practical and interactive course takes delegates through a simple but effective process where they are able to target and tailor their messages, and deliver them with impact, ensuring that people are as bought-in to the message as possible.

Understanding Performance Management - Full (next date TBC for January) @ Green Labyrinth Training

Managing the performance of people in the workplace is one of the most challenging responsibilities a manager has, with everyone having different ways of working, levels of skill and experience, and different attitudes and behaviours. However, if someone is underperforming and it goes unaddressed, it can often become even worse, or even ‘spread’ to other members of the team if people start to see it as the accepted level of performance.

This highly practical and commercially realistic course takes participants through a range of tools and techniques to avoid underperformance by setting clear expectations, address underperformance early, hold a difficult conversation raising performance concerns, and manage an underperformance process so that it can be measured, improved and escalated if required.

Green Labyrinth specialises in providing commercially focused and practical development solutions to help organisations and their staff really thrive in todays challenging environment.
