With the new guidance announced on December 30th for students to return to education in the January term, we would like to confirm with you our plans for the Study Programme.
All learners who attend Maths and/or English lessons will return to site the week commencing the 11th January 2021. This week will not be your regular timetable.
No remote lessons will be happening the week commencing 4th January 2020. You will receive an email advising you of which day(s) you will need to attend your Maths and/or English lessons the following week. You will also receive a phone call from your mentor to discuss any concerns or issues you may have.
Normal timetable will resume the week commencing 18th January 2021. If this changes, you will be informed as soon as possible.
Why are you closed for the first week of term?
We are delaying the return to face-to-face lessons in line with the government announcement on Wednesday 30th December. This is to keep everyone safe.
Will my timetable change?
For the week of 11th January, your timetable will change as you will be attending Maths and English lessons only. You will receive an email before Thursday 7th January telling you when you need to come in. Please let us know if you haven’t received this. It is important that you know when your lessons are because the timetable will be different to the normal timetable.
I don’t have the funds to get to college for my Maths & English lessons
If you do not have the money or a bus pass to be able to attend college for your Maths & English lessons for the week of 11th January, please contact us on studyp@greenlabyrinth.uk as soon as possible.
I’m worried about not having any support from Green Labyrinth
Staff at Green Labyrinth will be answering calls and emails from learners during normal working hours from Monday 4th January. If you want to talk to someone, please call us on 07914669397 or 01793 236245 or email us on studyp@greenlabyrinth.uk.
Your mentor will also call you on the phone. It may be from a withheld number so make sure you answer!
You can also keep up to date through our website www.greenlabyrinth.co.uk.
I get Free School Meals - will I still receive my packed lunch?
If you are entitled to Free School Meals, you will be contacted separately with details on how Green Labyrinth will continue to support you over the next fortnight, before the normal timetable resumes on Monday 18th January.
Do I still attend my work placement from 4th January?
All employers have been contacted to provide an update on your placement. You will be contacted by Green Labyrinth or your employer to confirm when your placement will restart. It is unlikely to be before 11th January.
Do I still need to do distant learning?
Yes - distant learning is a key part of your programme. Distant learning will commence again from Monday 18th January, however your tutor may give you some work before this. It is vital that you complete your online work on GLO to make up for lost learning due to Covid. Keep checking your GLO account for any work you need to complete.
If you have forgotten your login details, please contact us on studyp@greenlabyrinth.uk.

When do I come back to college?
Learners are due back for face-to-face lessons on Monday 11th January 2021 for Maths and English lessons only. You may also have a mentor meeting this week too. If you do not study Maths and English, your lessons will start again on Monday 18th January.
Our normal timetable will start again on Monday 18th January 2021. This includes enrichment.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. It is important to look back at 2020 and see how much we achieved when faced with the challenges of Covid. We look forward to taking this resilience into 2021 to achieve many more amazing and inspiring things!
Stay safe and we will see you very soon,
