Our Career Programme

At Green Labyrinth, learners study vocational qualifications designed to build career management skills and explore industries and jobs which interest them. You can find out more information on what you will study on the main Study Programme page.

Our careers programme aims to support learners to learn about, practice and develop the skills they need to flourish within the workplace.

This page provides information on the careers offer at Green Labyrinth.

Personalised Career Programme

We focus on a range of employability skills such as communication, self-management, teamwork, problem solving and self-confidence. Learners will complete a skills assessment at various times throughout the year which helps shape their career offer.

For example, learners who are at Stage 3 stage may be ready for work experience, whereas those who are at Stage 1 or 2 can opt for a workplace visit or an employer talk. All learners will be able to access all opportunities.

Termly Careers & Tutorial Days

Each term, one day will be dedicated to learning about, exploring and developing key employability skills. These days may also include an employer talk or workshop and a workplace visit.

These days are designed to complement the main qualification and provide further opportunities for learners to build skills for their professional and personal progression.

Access to Guidance

Throughout their time, learners have access to 121 career guidance. These sessions are with Ray Katatic, our in-house Careers Advisor, who holds a Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development.

Guidance sessions can cover many topics such as:

Get a plan in place for my next steps

Make the best decision for me

Feel confident in my skills

Feel confident in my plan

Feel positive about the future

Be more independent

Increase the chances of my plan working

Have a better idea of my options

Careers Fairs

Learners will be signposted to relevant careers fairs in the local area. Green Labyrinth also host their own fair in the spring term. The date for next year is Thursday 5th March 2026!

Read about the amazing fair which took place this April in our Careers Blog.

Meaningful Experiences of Work

We are now building our pool of employers to offer workshops, employer talks, workplace visits, work shadowing and work experience. Our work experience pilot is currently underway with workplace visits taking place. We hope to have learners in their workplaces at the beginning of next year - check back here for updates!
